An elegant but easy starter for any affair
– 1 (200g) Wheel Creamy Brie
– 1 Dessert Apple – Peeled, Cored and Sliced
– 1 Onion, Sliced
– 1 Head Garlic
– Olive Oil
– 50g Butter
– 1 Sheet Puff Pastry
– 1 Tablespoon Melted Butter
What To Do:
Take a small oven-proof frying pan.
Butter the base of the pan. Arrange dessert apples in the base.
Slice a red onion finely and sauté until just soft. Add these to the apples arranged in
the bottom of the pan.
Place a whole brie skin on, on top of apples and onions.
Roll out puff pastry disc to fit the size of the pan.
Place in a preheated oven at 200°C / Gas mark 6 for 15/20 mins until pastry is crisp
and risen. When cooked place a plate over the pan
and tip upside down, careful not to lose melted cheese and apples.
